Objectives
This group explores severe psychiatric disorders through three axes: (1) the clinical redefinition of psychiatric disorders, particularly mood disorders, by identifying objective clinical biomarkers (extracted via AI and computer vision); (2) the transdiagnostic and neurobiological study of catatonia; (3) the analysis of the efficacy, mechanisms, and accessibility of physical treatments in psychiatry (ECT and neuromodulation treatments).
Population
- Patients suffering from mood disorders
- Patients presenting with psychotic disorders or symptoms
- Patients affected by catatonia, across all etiologies
- Psychiatric populations exposed to physical and neuromodulation treatments
- National medico-administrative databases (SNDS, PMSI)
Methods
- Computer vision and extraction of clinical biomarkers
- Artificial Intelligence (supervised and unsupervised machine learning, NLP, multimodal predictive models)
- Brain imaging (structural and functional MRI), genetics, and biological analysis
- Epidemiology
- Digital tools for clinical assessment
