Muriel Darmon, CNRS Research Director, is a sociologist recognised for her work on socialisation processes, particularly in relation to youth, the body, and health. Her recent research focuses on social inequalities in health, especially those related to social class and gender. She has recently examined these issues in the context of post-stroke rehabilitation and is currently continuing this work within the ERC GENDHI project, which she co-leads. Her talk will highlight the contributions of a sociological approach to the study of health, drawing on empirical findings from her research.
